- “N” – Non-specific symptoms like headache and myalgias.
- “G” – Gastrointestinal symptoms such as variable abdominal pain and diarrhea.
- “E” – Erythematous macules and papules, 2-4 mm in size, usually on the trunk (rose spots).
- “S” – Salmonella typhi, the causative agent of typhoid fever.
- “T” – Transient, blanchable erythematous macules and papules.
