Stereopsis : How To Remember Easily ?

  • T: The most popular office tests measure a range of thresholds from 800 to 40 s of arc.
  • A: Achieving a stereoacuity of 40 s of arc assures that the eyes are aligned orthotropically.
  • R: Random dot stereograms have no monocular depth cues and provide an excellent screening test for strabismus.
  • G: Gaining stereoacuity indicates that vision is intact in each eye.
  • E: Each eye is presented with targets separately using polarized images.
  • T: To determine stereoacuity, retinal disparity is taken into account by presenting targets separately to each eye.
