  • E – Educate the patient and their family about home safety.

  • W – Watch for triggers such as stress, alcohol, and insufficient sleep.
  • A – Address underlying causes and potential familial basis.
  • L – Learn relaxation techniques and consider hypnosis.
  • K – Keep glass doors replaced and remove tripping hazards.
