  • L – Lead the patient to a safe environment.
  • E – Ensure the patient’s safety during sleepwalking episodes.
  • E – Educate the patient and their family about home safety.
  • P – Provide support and understanding to the patient.
  • W – Watch for triggers such as stress, alcohol, and insufficient sleep.
  • A – Address underlying causes and potential familial basis.
  • L – Learn relaxation techniques and consider hypnosis.
  • K – Keep glass doors replaced and remove tripping hazards.
  • I – Increase awareness of deep NREM sleep and its effects.
  • N – Note that sleepwalking is more common in children and adolescents.
