Rheumatic Fever Rash : How To Remember Easily ?

  • N – Nodules: Subcutaneous nodules may be present in patients with rheumatic fever.
  • O – Occurring: Erythema marginatum occurs as annular papules and plaques.
  • D – Developing: The lesions evolve and resolve within hours.
  • U – Unilateral: The rash is usually unilateral, appearing in waves over the trunk and proximal extremities.
  • L – Link: Rheumatic fever is linked to Group A Streptococcus infection.
  • E – Erythematous: The rash is erythematous in nature.
