Nodular Eruptions Rash : How To Remember Easily ?

  • N – Nodular lesions often represent disseminated infection in immunocompromised hosts.

  • O – Patients with disseminated candidiasis may have a triad of fever, myalgias, and eruptive nodules.

  • D – Disseminated cryptococcosis lesions may resemble molluscum contagiosum.

  • U – Necrosis of nodules should raise the suspicion of aspergillosis or mucormycosis.

  • L – Erythema nodosum presents with exquisitely tender nodules on the lower extremities.

  • E – Sweet syndrome should be considered in individuals with multiple nodules and plaques.

  • S – Sweet syndrome can be induced by drugs and may occur in individuals with infection, inflammatory bowel disease, or malignancy.
