How To Remember Acropectoral Syndrome Signs & Symptoms?

Acropectoral syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that causes the bones and muscles in the shoulder and upper arm to grow in a strange way.
 
The shoulder may have a limited range of motion, the muscles in the upper arm may not be fully developed, and the bones in the shoulder and upper arm may be misshaped.
 
No one knows for sure what causes acropectoral syndrome, but it is thought to be an autosomal recessive trait. There is no cure for acropectoral syndrome, so physical therapy and surgery are used to help with the symptoms.
 
 

Here are the signs and symptoms of Acropectoral Syndrome Signs & Symptoms :

  • Pain, swelling, and weakness in the shoulder and chest
  • Limited movement in the shoulder joint
  • Numbness or tingling in the arm
  • Difficulty performing daily activities
  • Loss of muscle mass in the shoulder and chest
  • Lack of coordination in the arm and hand.
  • Reduced range of motion in the shoulder joint
  • Popping or clicking in the shoulder joint
