  • O – On cortical sensory testing, abnormalities are often found.
  • R – Rarely, a painful state may occur in the case of parietal lobe lesions.
  • T – The affected hand and arm are not used due to parietal lobe lesions.
  • E – Either the cortex or subjacent white matter can be involved in parietal lobe lesions.
  • X – Xceptional primary sensation is usually intact despite abnormalities in sensory testing.
