  • E – Efficient means for assimilation of information
  • Y – Yielding capture of images focused by the cornea and lens
  • E – Eye, a part of the brain banished to the periphery
  • M – Membrane in the back of the eye, the retina
  • O – Operate, rods in dim illumination, cones in daylight
  • V – Visual acuity provided by cones in the fovea
  • E – Energy converted into neuronal signals
  • M – Million rods and cones in the human retina
  • O – Optic nerve transmitting sensory information
  • V – Visual centers in the brain receiving the image
  • E – Exit of ganglion cell axons at the optic disc
