Erythema Nodosum Rash : How To Remember Easily ?

N – Nodules on lower legs and upper extremities

O – Often violaceous and nonulcerative

D – Drugs (sulfas, penicillins, oral contraceptives) and Infections (streptococcal, fungal, mycobacterial, yersinial) as causes

O – Exquisitely tender nodules

S – Sarcoidosis and Idiopathic causes

U – Usually affects females aged 15-30 years old

M – More common with associated condition: Arthralgias
