  • A – Adaptational qualities vary among different types of receptors.
  • T – Trigeminal system conveys sensations from the face and head.
  • I – Information from the limbs and trunk enters the dorsal horn of the spinal cord.
  • O – Opposite anterior and lateral columns carry smaller fiber projections.
  • N – Nucleus of the thalamus is the destination for the spinothalamic pathway.
